The perfect selection of individual components for electrical trace heating is essential for reliable and secure operation. Our product range includes components to configure trace heating for both large industrial plants and smaller projects, for example as pipe trace heating for the gutters of a production hall. In our range, you will find junction boxes, connection sets, end terminations, insulation entries, connectors and numerous other accessories.
End terminations are vital components for reliably functioning trace heating. These components prevent moisture from penetrating into the heating cable and electrically insulate the end of the heating tape. In the Ziegler range, you will find heat-shrink and cold-connection end terminations, suitable for the intended plant or the selected cables. This plays a particularly important role when it comes to the increased requirements in hazardous areas. Our experts at ZIEGLER ENGINEERING answer all questions about the right trace heating end termination and other individual components.
The ZIEGLER ENGINEERING range also includes connectors for heating tapes, whereby, for example, defective sections of heating tape need to be repaired and replaced. The key selection factor here is, once again, the coordination of the connector type with the selected system and the area of application. The ZIEGLER ENGINEERING range of accessories includes a large number of different connectors, including for challenging and safety-relevant applications, for example in hazardous areas. These allow reliable and permanently tight connections to be implemented without a hitch in most cases.
Get in touch with our team of experts! Everything you get from ZIEGLER ENGINEERING is from a single source – from planning and commissioning through to maintenance of your electrical trace heating.
Heating tapes and heating cables are usually electrically connected using connection boxes and connection sets. The connection box forms the transition between the warm and cold parts of the trace heating system and offers space for the connections between the heating cable and the power source using a connection set. The two components also provide protection against moisture and weather influences and they electrically insulate the heating tape. The ZIEGLER ENGINEERING product range offers an extensive selection of different types of these crucial accessories for every trace heating application.
With over 50 years of experience, ZIEGLER ENGINEERING is the ideal partner for the planning and implementation of electrical trace heating projects. We deliver custom, one-stop solutions: a comprehensive range of high-quality accessories and components from connection boxes, connection sets and trace heating end terminations to different types of connectors and a wide variety of other products such as heating cables, heating tapes and thermostats, as well as a team of experts with the necessary expertise make us the top choice when it comes to planning and implementing your trace heating project. Benefit from our expertise in custom trace heating systems.
To form a heating circuit you will need: a connection set, an end termination set, heating tape/heating cable, junction box and/or temperature controller and installation material such as glass silk tape.
Centralised controllers can be installed in the control cabinet; decentralised controllers are placed on the pipeline/container. We also distinguish between ambient thermostats (measuring the ambient temperature) and direct line sensing, which directly measures the temperature of the object to be heated. Nowadays, many controllers can transmit information to control systems and receive information from said systems.
Glass silk tape is usually used, but self-adhesive aluminium foil is also commonly used. This has a positive influence on heat transfer and increases the heat output of self-regulating heating tapes. In addition, it is primarily fixed resistance heating cables that can be mounted with straps, wires or wire mesh/wire baskets.
ZIEGLER ENGINEERING is your partner when it comes to electrical trace heating. We offer a wide range of products, vast experience and sound expert knowledge.
